Mi nombre es Natalia Herrera, soy ilustradora de libros infantiles y diseñadora en Comunicación Visual, graduada en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). Vivo en mi ciudad de origen, La Plata, Argentina.
Me especializo en el mundo de la literatura infantil y los libros álbum, trabajando exclusivamente con técnicas analógicas. En 2025, profundicé esta especialización al diplomarme en Libro Álbum en la Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA).
Mi enfoque se centra en capturar historias a través de texturas y medios tradicionales, buscando una voz visual única y una calidad táctil que aporte calidez y distinción.
Cada uno de mis proyectos es un diálogo entre la técnica —adquirida en años de formación— y la pasión que imprimo en cada trazo.
En 2021, tuve el honor de ser seleccionada para la muestra de ilustradores de la Feria Internacional del Libro Infantil de Bolonia, entre más de 3.000 artistas de todo el mundo.
Actualmente, trabajo como autora integral de libros álbum e ilustro textos de otros autores, involucrándome en todo el proceso de creación. Mis libros están presentes en Argentina y otros paises como España, Italia y EEUU.
Interpretar, comunicar y decir a través de las emociones son las ideas que trascienden mi trabajo.
My name is Natalia Herrera; I am a children's book illustrator and a Visual Communication Designer, graduated from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). I live in my hometown of La Plata, Argentina.
I specialize in the world of children's literature and picture books, working exclusively with analog techniques. In 2025, I furthered this specialization by earning a Diploma in Picture Books from the National University of the Arts (UNA).
My focus is on capturing stories through textures and traditional media, seeking a unique visual voice and a tactile quality that provides warmth and distinction. Through my training in various workshops—covering drawing, narrative, character design, and color—my projects combine and convey the passion with which I create them.
In 2021, I had the honor of being selected for the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, chosen from among more than 3,000 artists worldwide.
Currently, I work as an author-illustrator of picture books while also illustrating texts by other authors, involving myself deeply in the entire creative process. My books are published in Argentina and other countries, including Spain, Italy, and the USA.
Interpreting, communicating, and expressing through emotions are the core ideas that transcend my work.
